Turn yourself into a clay character
Hand-molded from plasticine, fingerprints and all: you as the lovable lead of a stop-motion film, with bead eyes, a goofy grin and a miniature film set behind you.
From a selfie or a sentence, in about ten seconds. No card needed.

What makes it Claymation
A real clay model
It looks like a physical figure on a tabletop set, not a 3D render: matte clay, solid colours, soft studio light.
Handmade marks
Faint fingerprints, tool marks and little imperfections, the way a model looks after a day of animating.
A goofy, friendly face
Big white eyes with bead pupils, chunky clay hair and a wide, toothy grin.
Miniature sets
A plain pastel backdrop, or a tiny cottage living room, a workshop or a cobbled street.
How to make one
- Pick Claymation. The button on this page opens minipic.me with Claymation already chosen.
- Add a selfie or a sentence. One face in good light, looking at the camera, works best. Or describe anyone (or anything) in a few words.
- Keep it. Download PNG or WebP from 64 to 1024 pixels, with the background kept or cut out to transparent, or tweak it ("add a red scarf").
Great for
- Friendly, approachable profile pictures
- Pet portraits
- Team pages with a playful twist
- Kids’ party invites and family cards
- Podcast and channel avatars
Questions
Is it 3D?
It is made to look like a photo of a real plasticine model on a stop-motion set, with fingerprints and matte clay, rather than a smooth computer-generated character.
Does it work for pets?
Very well. Dogs and cats make lovely clay figures. Use a clear photo, or describe them.
Is it free?
Your first two avatars are free, no card needed. After that, your first pack is $5 for 12 avatars, then packs start at $9 for 20, and credits never expire.
Do you keep my photo?
A photo you add to draw once is used for that drawing and not kept. Photos you save in People are kept privately until you delete them or your account.
